Ways to Help

Save The Berkeley Flea Market

Why We Are Raising Support

The Berkeley Flea Market and Community Services United (CSU) are raising support to strengthen, rebuild, and expand the programs that serve our community every weekend. As a historic cultural landmark, the Berkeley Flea Market has been a home for small businesses, families, artists, and local culture for over 50 years. To keep this legacy alive, we must invest in the market’s growth, safety, and long-term sustainability.

We are raising support because:

1. The community depends on us.

Thousands of families, seniors, children, and small vendors rely on the Berkeley Flea Market for resources, income, and connection. Your support helps us continue to be a lifeline for the community.

2. We are rebuilding and improving the market.

Funding helps us upgrade equipment, seating, signs, safety stations, Kidz Zone, Senior Lounge, and vendor services so the market can grow into a cleaner, safer, and more organized environment.

3. We want to provide more free programs.

Support allows CSU to host:

  • Kidz Zone activities
  • Senior Lounge services
  • Community workshops
  • Business development sessions
  • Sunday Brunch events
  • Bingo & Bites
  • Food & resource drives
  • Cultural and musical programming

4. We are protecting a cultural landmark.

The Berkeley Flea Market is more than a market — it’s history. It represents music, culture, grassroots business, and the spirit of the Ashby community. Support helps us preserve this legacy and pass it on to future generations.

5. Small businesses need a place to grow.

Many vendors depend on the BFM as their main source of income. Funding helps us provide affordable vendor spaces, better vendor support, and stronger business resources.

6. We believe in community empowerment.

Every donation helps CSU deliver programs that uplift, support, and educate the community — from youth to elders.

Your Support Makes Everything Possible

By raising support, we can continue expanding programs, improving the market, and ensuring the Berkeley Flea Market remains a safe, vibrant space for everyone.
